Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, Sunday received a congratulatory message from Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic.
    The president in the message extended warm congratulations on behalf of the Syrian people and himself to Kim Jong Un and the Korean people on the occasion of the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
    The friendly two countries are celebrating this anniversary and, at the same time, conducting a war against big powers' wild ambition to subject all countries to their expansionist and dominationist policy and deprive them of their rights to self-determination, the message said, adding: The two peoples of Syria and the DPRK are as ever struggling for their rights to self-determination and national sovereignty and the security and prosperity of their countries.
    The message expressed belief that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger in conformity with the interests of the two peoples. -0-

Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, Sunday received a congratulatory message from Bashar Al-Assad, president of Syria.
    The message wished Kim Jong Un bigger successes, extending heartfelt congratulations to him on the 5th anniversary of his election to the top posts of the WPK and the DPRK.
    His election was an expression of the DPRK leadership and people's trust and marked an occasion in further consolidating the line of the Korean revolution on realizing at the higher stage the objectives for the party and the revolution, the country and the people and global independence, the foundations of which were laid by President Kim Il Sung and carried forward by leader Kim Jong Il, the eternal leader of the WPK, it said.
    The message wished good health and happiness to Kim Jong Un and progress and prosperity to the Korean people under his wise guidance. -0-
